Excellent long lasting container insulation: no assembly, no thermal bridge.
As earlu as the 1970, OLIVO was moving towards designing and producing insulated containers to meet the needs of food distribution operators, in particular for frozen food transportation. Very quickly, the « Meccano » type design – external walls assembled over an inner polyester body started to shows its limitations in terms of insulation, maintenance and lifetime. OLIVO’s Research & Development team opted for a new design: the rotomoulded container.
That choice of rotomolding allowed the molding in one-piece of a polyethylene double walled body and a door or lid for each container.
In this way, the insulating material -polyurethane foam- is perfectly protected from its main enemies: humidity and light. Its insulating capacity is preserved for many years.
Polyethylene is very resistant to handling knocks. In case of accidental damage, it can be repaired by hot air welding, which involves no disassembly or changing of an entire wall, and even less so the replacemant of the container.
The one-piece rotomolded design offers the best technology to preserve the container’s integrity and safely transport temperature-sensitive products.
